Daniela DE MARTINO (Monbulk) (13:04): I was honoured to attend the Kokoda Day service at One Tree Hill earlier this month, where we reflected on the courage, sacrifice and resilience of the very young boys and men of the 39th Battalion who served along the Kokoda Track and those who never returned. It was a moving occasion and an important opportunity to ensure that their stories continue to be remembered. The primary school students of Belgrave South acquitted themselves beautifully in singing the national anthem, which they do every year.
