Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:07): My question is to the Minister for Public Transport. Minister, what is the updated BCR of the Suburban Rail Loop following the changes announced by the government today?
Vicki WARD (Eltham – Minister for Public Transport, Minister for Creative Industries) (14:07): I thank the Leader of the Opposition for her question. As the Premier just said, we are building it for less and creating more. We are helping Victorians move around, and there will be more to announce.
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:07): I do not think the minister knows what ‘BCR’ means. Even using the government’s new cost of $32.3 billion, only $17.8 billion has been committed by the Victorian and Commonwealth governments. Where will the remaining $14.5 billion come from?
Vicki WARD (Eltham – Minister for Public Transport, Minister for Creative Industries) (14:08): I would suggest that the Leader of the Opposition may actually want to revisit her maths.
