Geelong electorate housing
Chris COUZENS (Geelong) (13:20): Also last week I joined the Minister for Housing, Building and Precincts to officially open the Thomson housing project. Eighteen walk-up apartments that were built in the 1950s have been replaced with 54 brand new social homes, with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Five per cent of those apartments are Disability Discrimination Act 1992 accessible units. This new housing is surrounded by single residential houses, near Tate Street Primary School and has great access to public transport and amenities. We then moved on to the Myers Street housing development, which includes 117 apartments.
