Adjournment
Six Ways intersection, Lara
Ella GEORGE (Lara) (19:18): (1736) My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, and the action that I seek is for the minister to provide an update in relation to the status of planning works at the intersection known as Six Ways in Lara. The upgrades to the Lara Six Ways intersection will deliver significant benefits to the Lara community. By replacing the single-lane roundabout with traffic lights, the project will greatly improve traffic flow and enhance road safety for locals. This is especially important at this location as it is in close proximity to four local schools and a busy shopping strip. These upgrades will reduce travel times and make the daily commute safer and more efficient. Improved access and smoother traffic movement will also support the future growth that the Lara community is expecting, improving livability for local residents. Planning and design works have been underway for some time now, and I would love to be able to provide my community with an update on when the works are set to begin on this important local project.
