Adjournment
Ovens Valley electorate
Tim McCURDY (Ovens Valley) (14:32): (1710) My question is to the Minister for Environment in the other place, and I ask: why has Alpine Resorts Victoria taken away basic rights of business owners in Falls Creek by not allowing businesses to pick up their own guests from the car park? Holiday packages to the snow begin when people arrive at a mountain, but if you arrive at Falls Creek, it is mandatory to be picked up by an agency who has struck a sweetheart deal with the government to deliver guests. This is causing logistical issues and, more importantly, cost issues for businesses who have the all-terrain vehicles but are simply not allowed to pick up their own clients. Businesses in Falls Creek are fed up with the dodgy rules that have been put on them.
