Kim WELLS (Rowville) (13:21): I rise to congratulate the Rowville electorate winners of the 2026 Victoria Day Awards, which I co-hosted alongside Max Williams, the Liberal candidate for Rowville, on 1 July at Polish House Syrena. These 44 local heroes served with pride, delivering meals, supporting clubs and caring for the vulnerable. While time prevents me from naming each individual, today we celebrate the incredible organisations that nominated them. From sport, we thank Scoresby and Wantirna South footy clubs, Lysterfield junior footy, Rowville, Lysterfield and Wantirna South cricket clubs, Rowville Rockets basketball, Knox Churches soccer, Lysterfield netball, Scoresby tennis, Knox Obedience Dog Club and Knox Radio Controlled Off Road Car Club. From community care and faith, we honour Rowville–Lysterfield Rotary, Rowville Lions, Rowville Men’s Shed, Waverley RSL, Knox woodworkers, Melbourne Steam Traction Engine Club, Feed One Feed All, Share Space, the Bruce Wong Foundation, Rowville Baptist Cares, Spring of Life Christian Ministry, Sant Nirankari Mission, Eastern District Polish Association, the Polish seniors club and Knox Chinese elderly citizens. From education and media, we recognise Waverley Christian College, Karoo and Darrang primary schools and the Rowville–Lysterfield Community News. These winners strengthen our electorate every day, and we thank them deeply for making the Rowville electorate a wonderful place to live.
