 Kathleen MATTHEWS-WARD (Broadmeadows) (14:36): (1713) My question is for the Minister for Public and Active Transport, and I ask: when will the bus lane at Broadmeadows station be resurfaced? I was able to secure funding in the most recent budget for improvements at the station, but separate to this funding, the department has advised that the bus lane will be resurfaced this financial year. I would appreciate an estimated timeline for the completion of this work. I have been proud to deliver extended hours for PSOs at Broady station, now starting at 9 am rather than 6 pm, and community outreach workers will also be commencing to assist people who need a bit of extra support. I am excited about the extra off-peak night and weekend services starting very soon, giving us trains at least every 20 minutes on both the Craigieburn and Upfield lines. The station and surrounding area have very complex leasing and ownership arrangements. I have also been working closely with all those responsible particularly regarding the cleaning and maintenance schedules, especially for the privately owned but common use areas between the buildings. I have also been working with the management of Broadmeadows Central shopping centre regarding more regular collection of trolleys.
