Ella GEORGE (Lara) (19:07): (1832) My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Education. The action that I seek is an update on how works at Northern Bay College’s Hendy campus are progressing. There was a fire in October 2024 which badly damaged the admin building and classrooms at this beautiful school, and while the fire was devastating, it truly brought out the best of our Corio community. The school community truly came together during this challenging time. Students were quickly relocated to another campus with no interruption to their learning. I want to thank the teachers, staff, parents, families and of course the incredible students at Hendy campus for everything they did to get through this as a community. I am really proud that this state Labor government is going to be rebuilding the buildings at Northern Bay College’s Hendy campus. Labor backs our local schools, and I cannot wait to see this school rebuilt.
