Jordan CRUGNALE (Bass) (09:44): Serving, working for and walking beside the people of Bass on Bunurong and Boonwurrung country has been more than a privilege; it has been a journey of highs and lows, fierce collective advocacy and hard-won outcomes, treasured friendships and beautiful connections that leave a cherished imprint. Today I want to thank the extraordinary people and organisations across our electorate. From schools and kinders to health services, sporting clubs, arts and cultural organisations, neighbourhood houses, local businesses, emergency services, community and support groups and environmental organisations, thank you for welcoming me into your spaces and places, sharing your aspirations and challenges and working with energy and passion to make Bass stronger, fairer and more connected. It is your determination and vision that have enabled so much to be delivered: new and upgraded schools, expanded hospitals, more buses, sporting facilities, local clubs, early parenting centres, upgraded emergency services, more social housing, stronger planning outcomes and protections for our beautiful environment. Together we have delivered new paths and trails, boat ramps and jetties, playgrounds and skate parks and backed hundreds of projects across towns large and small. We have supported festivals and events galore that bring people together, celebrate creativity and showcase the best of our region. Above all, I want to acknowledge our glorious volunteers. Your spirited generosity, selflessness and countless hours of service thread us together, make our hearts sing and exemplify our true community colours.
