Adjournment
Rowville electorate
Kim WELLS (Rowville) (14:34): (1744) My question is to the Minister for Youth, and I ask: when will the state Labor government fund vital upgrades to scout halls in the Rowville electorate? The Heaney Park Scouts regional facility is one that can be used by Scout groups across a wider area, but it desperately needs a modern, safe space and much-needed improvements. The 1st Rowville Scout hall is a community-based hall used for community events and playgroups, and it desperately needs an upgrade to maintain and modernise this dual-use facility. In addition, 1st Wantirna South in Tyner Road desperately needs a funding upgrade to ensure the Cubs and Scouts have a safe place to hold their activities and to keep their gear. These upgrades are strongly supported by the Liberal candidate for Rowville Max Williams, who is working hard with the Shadow Minister for Youth to support the scouting movement.
