Juliana ADDISON (Wendouree) (14:31): (1741) My constituency question is for the Minister for Rural and Regional Development. When will the Frank Bourke Oval redevelopment be opened? I am proud that the Carroll Labor government is delivering a major upgrade to the Frank Bourke Oval in North Ballarat, supported by a $5 million investment from the Victorian government and funding from the City of Ballarat. The new pavilion will provide modern and accessible change rooms, umpire facilities, community meeting spaces and a kitchen, canteen and bar, creating a welcoming home for local sport and community events. Importantly, these upgrades will support the North Ballarat Football & Netball Club, strengthen local cricket and help grow participation in women’s and community sport for generations to come. As part of the broader Ballarat major events precinct development, this project is about more than buildings; it is about investing in people, creating opportunities for local athletes, attracting visitors and cementing Ballarat’s reputation as one of regional Victoria’s premier sporting destinations.
