Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:11): My question is to the Premier. Two weeks have passed since the Premier declared that integrity would no longer be optional. If integrity is no longer optional, why are there still no terms of reference for his royal commission into the Big Build, despite the Premier promising they would be finalised last week?
Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:11): This is a very serious endeavour. We are going to get it done, and we are going to get it done right.
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:11): A royal commission was supposed to be the Premier’s first act. Isn’t it the case that he is continuing to delay it to prevent former Labor premiers and Mick Gatto from being interrogated in the witness box before the election?
Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:12): The opposition leader knows that is not the case.
