Mary-Anne THOMAS (Macedon) (10:31): Big things are happening in Kyneton, including an exciting new chapter for one of Kyneton’s most treasured heritage buildings, the old Kyneton Primary School. A new consortium has been appointed, led by one of Australia’s leading social enterprises – Kyneton’s own Social Foundry – alongside Impact Neighbourhoods International, Waterman Workspaces and ValueLab.Co. The precinct will become a place where people can gather, create, work and connect. Plans are already afoot for the opening to coincide with the daffodil and arts festival, and feedback from the community has been invited as we look to a future that includes new opportunities for local businesses, artists and young people. I particularly want to acknowledge and thank Paul Dettman and Bron and Simon Burnett for their vision, leadership and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for our community.
