Belinda WILSON (Narre Warren North) (10:28): Today I want to talk about Early Learning Matters Week. In its ninth year, Early Learning Matters Week highlights the importance of quality early childhood education and the vital role that it plays in contributing to all of our children’s learning, development and wellbeing. This celebration brings together educators, parents, carers and community leaders to advocate for high-quality early learning and to recognise the dedicated people who support our younger learners every single day. I was really proud to go along and watch the work of an amazing centre in my electorate, KingKids early learning centre in Narre. Tammy, the incredible centre manager, showed me around with her amazing team and showed me through the centre explaining the important work that they do for our community, their activities and their facilities. It was actually quite incredible. It was wonderful to see the dedication of all the educators, the care that they provide to the kids and the wonderful work that they do. These programs play an important role in ensuring that the youngest members of our community have a strong foundation for their future learning and also prepare them so they are all ready for prep in their later years.
