Norlane Community Centre

Ella GEORGE (Lara) (19:09): (824) My adjournment matter this evening is for the Minister for Carers and Volunteers, and the action that I seek from the minister is to visit the volunteers at the Norlane Community Centre and see the work that they are doing to support the Norlane community. Norlane Community Centre provides opportunities for locals to connect with, learn from and contribute to their local community. Esther, Bec and the hardworking team of volunteers do a power of work ensuring that they provide services that benefit the community. Whether it is a free community meal on a Tuesday, Food Share on Thursdays, their famous winter solstice event, conversational English classes, tai chi, art classes, the toolshed or the community garden, they are always a thriving hub of activity. It would be wonderful to have the minister visit Norlane Community Centre and see the important work they are doing, and I look forward to hosting her.
