Pascoe Vale Community Centre

Anthony CIANFLONE (Pascoe Vale) (13:23): On 9 September – yesterday – I was delighted to join the Minister for Children to officially open the new and expanded Pascoe Vale Community Centre kindergarten and maternal and child health centre on Prospect Street, just next to the Pascoe Vale outdoor pools, all made possible via a major $1.5 million Victorian Labor government investment that I was so happy to have secured. The new and improved facilities will improve services for local families through 59 early childhood and kinder places for local children, which is an extra 33 places on what was previously the case; expanded classrooms and learning spaces; improved outdoor learning and play areas; new staff office spaces, rest rooms and amenities; and enhanced maternal health and wellbeing consulting spaces.Along with the rollout of free kinder for three- and four-year-olds, saving families $2500, this is all part of our $10.7 million investment to upgrade 11 local kinders.
