Mickleham Road upgrade
Iwan WALTERS (Greenvale) (13:06): Rapid progress is being made on the $220 million stage 1 Mickleham Road upgrade in my electorate of Greenvale. This transformational road infrastructure project will make journeys faster and safer for every Greenvale resident and the 25,000 motorists who rely on Mickleham Road every day. I was delighted to join our new Premier at the worksite last month to see the scale of progress being made by skilled teams from BMD Group and Major Road Projects Victoria. New roadways and shared paths are already taking shape, while more than 23 kilometres of telecommunications and utilities have been relocated, including the main Melbourne and Sydney NBN connection and a vital aviation jet fuel pipeline that keeps Victoria’s economy moving. I am proud to be part of a government that gets on with it and invests in what matters for our communities.
