That this house notes that the lack of childcare availability, especially in regional Victoria, acts as a barrier for families to return to the workforce.

That this house acknowledges the shortage of childcare places in regional Victoria has worsened the Labor government’s cost-of-living crisis.

That this house notes current childcare regulations in Victoria limit the access to child care for Victorian families and must be reviewed to increase access to family day care, in-venue care, long day care, occasional care and outside school hours care to improve flexibility for families without compromising child safety.
