Ovens Valley electorate football and netball clubs
Tim McCURDY (Ovens Valley) (12:59): A huge shout-out to all of those in our football and netball clubs and the winter sporting programs in our regions – another exciting finale for our great communities. I want to particularly congratulate Yarrawonga Football Netball Club president Ross Mulquiney for his exceptional leadership this year, having had a difficult pill to swallow losing last year’s premiership by three points. But he did not dwell on the circumstances and turned up in 2023 and took the chocolates. As Tina Turner said, it is not what happens to you in your life, it is how you deal with it that counts. Yarrawonga Football Netball Club certainly got back on the horse and rode it to victory in 2023.
