 Ann-Marie HERMANS (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (12:53): (2666) My constituents continue to fight against this Labor government’s inappropriate development plans, which are dodgy. They bypass local council and ignore democratic community consultation processes, and the rezoning of the Rossdale golf course is one of those. It would destroy vital green space, and locals are calling for the rezoning to stop. The Kingswood golf course plans would allow properties to be built on flood plains without essential infrastructure, and the community is advocating for the number of properties to be at least halved. For years I have stood with the locals against Labor’s dodgy plans. While our sitting days are coming to an end for the term, their fight for justice is not, and I will continue to stand alongside them in their efforts. Minister for Planning, when will you stop the rezoning of the Rossdale golf course and adhere to all the findings of the committee in reference to Kingswood golf course and finally engage in genuine community consultation when making development plans?
