Adjournment
Western Victoria Region
Sarah MANSFIELD (Western Victoria) (12:49): (2662) My constituency question is for the Minister for Disability. A constituent in Lara has had to pull their daughter, who has autism, out of primary school due to the school being under-resourced and over capacity. They are now homeschooling her, which is causing financial stress for the family. It is not the first time my office has heard from a family regarding removing their child from a public school due to the school being inadequately resourced to support the needs of neurodiverse children. Especially in light of the recent cuts to the NDIS, will you commit to ensuring adequate funding for public schools in Lara to ensure students who have ADHD or autism have the support they need?
