Richard WELCH (North-Eastern Metropolitan) (12:48): (2661) It has been a very, very bad week for crime in my electorate. In Box Hill South we had a firebombing of a car yesterday. We had a home invasion with four youths armed with machetes breaking in in Box Hill North. Last week we had a 56-year-old stabbed by a group of youths in Box Hill Gardens. On Sunday we had two year 12 students from Box Hill High School stabbed at a bus stop in Box Hill North, and overnight in Bundoora we had the firebombing of a store. We had the firebombing of a Scout hall. We had a tractor used to ram through a cafe. You have been the police minister for long enough. You could have done something about this. Either prove you are not a lame-duck minister or make way for someone who will do something about it.

The PRESIDENT: We will have a look at that when we send that on.
