Felicitations

Trung LUU (Western Metropolitan) (10:17): This might be my last opportunity to say something in this place today, so I want to say thank you to all those that have supported me and assisted me in being here: my friends, including my late friend Ramon Frederico; my family Chi, Kimberly, Josephine, Stephanie, Genevieve and Michael; all my friends in the Liberal Party; my staff for their support over the past four years – Rosemary, Lucy, Gavin, Nathan, Robert, Robbie, Sanya, Stephen, Francis and Chloe; and my parliamentary colleagues for their great support and courage through the last four years. It has been an honour and a great opportunity for a person of my background as a little boat refugee to come to this land and serve at an ADF placement and local council and to stand here in this greatest place, greatest office in the state. Life is like a box of chocolates: you never know what you are going to get, but every door will lead to a new adventure, and it is up to you how you chart your path and your destiny. I hope my time here in serving the community and the Vietnamese community has captured that expectation.
