Michael GALEA (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (10:13): The south-east of Melbourne is a terrific place to live, work and play, and when you look around and see the new and upgraded schools, level crossing removals, the Metro Tunnel, new train services, road upgrades, new and upgraded bus routes, upgraded hospitals, the new Cranbourne Community Hospital, new and upgraded police stations, new ambulance branches and all the other signs of Labor’s continued strong investment into the south-east, you can see the legacy of that work. But there is more to do, and that work is also at risk. That is why this election is so important and why it is so important to re-elect a strong and united Labor government, led very ably by Premier Ben Carroll and Deputy Premier Gabrielle Williams. I am looking forward to having more time to spend in my community once we are risen from this place in a matter of days.
