 Anasina GRAY-BARBERIO (Northern Metropolitan) (12:51): (2664) My question is for the Minister for Environment. Minister, the Merri Creek Trail is a much-loved trail used frequently by Northern Metro constituents. However, in the last decade it has been a place where incidents of violence against women are on the rise. Women are being harassed, being stalked and experiencing indecent exposure. An audit was led by Monash University to improve safety infrastructure. However, Friends of Merri Creek and Co-Exist Australia say this is complicated to implement due to the ecological reserve of the area. I ask on behalf of my constituents: Minister, will you commit to ensuring safety infrastructure is prioritised along the Merri Creek Trail?
