 David DAVIS (Southern Metropolitan) (12:53): (2546) Murrumbeena Primary School is an important primary school in my electorate. A number of my colleagues from Southern Metro have raised this issue. The hall is not of sufficient size. It is now quite old, going back to the 1990s, and numerous parents and officials at the school have raised this with me and a number of my colleagues. The Minister for Education should act swiftly to deal with this matter. It is clear that Murrumbeena has been left without the support of an active local member. It is clear that Murrumbeena Primary School has not got the support that it deserves. I know that Ms Crozier and I will work very hard to ensure it does get that support. A new local member would improve the position greatly because they would at least be prepared to agitate and push for the developments at the school that are needed.
