Katherine COPSEY (Southern Metropolitan) (12:51): (2544) My question is to the Minister for Education. The Murrumbeena Primary School community in my electorate has contacted me about their urgent infrastructure needs. Murrumbeena Primary School is a growing government school with more than 550 students, yet it continues to rely on a hall built almost 30 years ago through community fundraising. It was built at about half the size of a standard school hall and for a much smaller student cohort. The facility no longer meets the needs of the school community, with assemblies, phys ed, performances and whole-school events all competing for limited indoor space. The school community has also raised concerns about ageing facilities and ongoing plumbing issues associated with the facility. Minister, will you help fund a new school hall and associated facilities at Murrumbeena Primary School?
