John BERGER (Southern Metropolitan) (19:34): (2686) My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Small and Family Business in the other place. Running a business is not easy. Many newer small business owners do not always have built-up networks, nor can they rely on support or advice for their businesses. That is why we are delivering the business skills mentoring program, offering free mentoring for up to 1000 businesses in priority industries. This initiative is part of the Economic Growth Statement to back businesses, create jobs and unlock more local growth. It will help businesses to thrive by providing them with hands-on specialist advice that is tailored to their circumstances, their businesses and their growth potential. The action I seek is for the minister to provide me with an update on how local Victorian businesses are benefiting from this program.
