Michael GALEA (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (09:53): I am pleased to rise today to congratulate Billy Chen, a bright young man who recently completed his Victorian parliamentary internship program in my office through the University of Melbourne. It was terrific, along with many other members in this place, to attend the graduation ceremony just a few days ago. I was very proud to see Billy on stage sharing some remarks on behalf of the cohort. Suffice to say that I was extremely impressed with his work ethic, dedication and approach to joining in with our office and working so thoroughly on his report, which focused on the SBS and its role in actually broadcasting the voices of outer suburban communities like mine in the south-east of Melbourne. It was great to see the level of detail and determination that Billy put into that work, and some wonderful recommendations for both state and federal levels of government that he has come through with as a result. I commend his report to members to read and look very much forward to seeing Billy continue to shine and prosper in whichever avenue he chooses next.
