 Evan MULHOLLAND (Northern Metropolitan) (13:05): (2541) My constituency question is to the Minister for Education, and it concerns what action the government will take to improve the safety of students, parents and staff at the Arrowsmith campus of Beveridge Primary School given significant concerns about the school’s inadequate drop-off and pick-up infrastructure. I would like to acknowledge the advocacy of Mitchell Shire Council on this issue. The current gravel area has no clear road markings, designated lanes, adequate signage or traffic management. With multiple lanes of vehicles moving through the area without a safe crossing point for children, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Given the rapid growth in student numbers and the documented safety risks, will the government now commit to working with the council to deliver the infrastructure needed to keep the Beveridge Primary School community safe?
