 Georgie CROZIER (Southern Metropolitan) (12:57): (2534) My question is to the Minister for Education. I have been contacted by a number of constituents in regard to infrastructure funding for Murrumbeena Primary School, including Mark from Ormond in Bentleigh, a parent at the school.

David Davis interjected.

Georgie CROZIER: Mr Davis is saying yes, because he is well aware of the issue I am about to raise. Mark writes that the school hall was built in 1996 and is half the standard size for a school hall. Nearly 30 years on, this outdated building can no longer accommodate the 550-plus students. The ageing plumbing is now causing health and sanitation problems, which are issues well beyond what routine maintenance budgets can fix. Meanwhile, neighbouring schools, especially in Bentleigh, have received millions of dollars in capital funding for new halls and sports and community facilities in recent years. Will the government commit funding for upgraded facilities at Murrumbeena Primary School so that this community can finally have the safe, modern school infrastructure they deserve?
