Responses
Ingrid STITT (Western Metropolitan – Minister for Government Services, Special Minister of State, Minister for Ageing, Minister for Mental Health, Minister for Multicultural and Multifaith Victoria) (19:13): There were 13 adjournment matters this evening to nine separate ministers, and I will make sure that there are written responses provided. Ms Terpstra asked a question in relation to the multicultural affairs portfolio in relation to the strong action our government is taking on racism and discrimination. I will provide Ms Terpstra with a fulsome written response, because there is a lot that our government is doing in this area. Mr Limbrick asked me a question in my capacity as Minister for Government Services, and it was quite detailed. Again, I will provide a written response in accordance with the standing orders. Mrs Broad, thank you for your adjournment matter in relation to the Alliance for Forgotten Australians. I am aware of the organisation. I have actually asked my department to sit down and meet with this group to hear directly from them, because I am concerned of there being adverse outcomes with people’s personal data. If you are of a mind to do so and if you want to share any of the personal information of your constituent, with their consent, I would be happy to follow that up with my department. As I say, I have initiated already some conversations between the Alliance for Forgotten Australians and the Department of Government Services.
The PRESIDENT: The house stands adjourned.
House adjourned 7:15 pm.
