Government performance
Georgie CROZIER (Southern Metropolitan) (14:06): What an absolute shambles the state has witnessed this morning with what has been happening in this Parliament. In the government’s own ranks it is just chaotic. They are at each other’s throats. It is an absolute shemozzle, with the former Premier Jacinta Allan being knifed by the faceless men – a woman that was put in by the faceless men removed by the faceless men. It is always about Labor and themselves, and yet Victorians are seeing this play out. It does not matter who leads them, they are still the same. They are a corrupt, divided and desperate Labor government. The policies that they have presided over, with Ben Carroll as Deputy Premier to Jacinta Allan and in the cabinet with Daniel Andrews, are policies that have seen this state go into such a decline, that are destroying hope and aspiration, that are destroying innovation, that are placing unnecessary red tape on decision-making, that are taking away the rights of communities to have a say, that are destroying the ability for everyday Victorians to forge their own destiny without being reliant on government and that are sending the state broke, where the standard of living is falling, where the ever-increasing tax burden is killing businesses, where Victoria has the highest unemployment rate and highest taxes anywhere in the country, where crime is out of control and communities are living in fear and where our health system is so broken. Victorians are not looking for a change in the Premier; they are looking for a fresh start and a change of government.
