Wayne FARNHAM (Narracan) (14:43): (318) My constituency question is for the Minister for Education, and the question I ask today is: will the government provide funding to support Longwarry Primary School and their efforts to install security fencing? The school community has been desperately seeking $240,000 to upgrade fencing to not just secure the boundary of the school but to ensure the safety of students. Given every day the government is wasting billions of dollars on cost blowouts from major projects and the cancelled Commonwealth Games, surely urgent requests like this are not being delayed or cancelled because of the mismanagement of your government. The school community deserve an update about the status of this request and when they can expect to see their school upgrade with this critical infrastructure they need.
