Jordan CRUGNALE (Bass) (09:57): Enriching our communities for the better, Newhaven Primary raised an amazing $3000 for Monash Children’s, Camp Quality and Monkey in My Chair in support for student Millie, who is bravely fighting cancer. The love, strength and light vibes were extraordinary. A big cheer to organising teacher Robyn Smith and the hairdressers, and in the magnificent mix of shavees and haircuts were students Tamsin, Kelsey, Yadin, Jaxon, Zac, Nate, Marlin, Declan, Jett and Micah, parent Nick, teachers Liam Jury and Adam Bush and business manager Catherine Rogerson.
It was wonderful to meet student leaders at Bass Coast College San Remo: Olive, Isaac, Olivia, Maddie, Cha Cha, Jaxon and Larnie – insightful, full of ideas, passionate and wanting to bring positive change beyond the bells. They are attuned with what is going on around them and raise priorities and needs important to them. Thank you for the opportunity to sit and listen.
Koo Wee Rup Secondary’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical was sensational, with a fabulous performance, stellar orchestra, outstanding production crew – talent galore. I loved Nicholas’s presence on stage – it shone so bright.
