Helen Welsh
Mathew HILAKARI (Point Cook) (09:55): I want to pay tribute to Helen Welsh, on another matter, a teacher of 45 years and the assistant principal at Alamanda K–9 College. She has been with the school since 2013 and has served our community so well for more than 45 years but through 45 years of teaching. She started her career in regional Victoria and has been all around the state, including St Kilda, Colac, Cobden and Point Cook, and has been overseas as well to Malaysia at the RAAF base there. She says, ‘You have to love the job – of course you do – to continue in it for 45 years.’ I thank you for your service.
