Mallee Almond Blossom Festival
Jade BENHAM (Mildura) (09:50): Also congratulations to the Mallee Almond Blossom Festival, which was held the next day to celebrate the explosion of blossom in the largest almond producing region in the Southern Hemisphere. The brilliant family festival has been organised by a team of volunteers every year for 14 years, and this year was no exception. Hopefully the outbreak of varroa mite in some New South Wales beehives close by does not affect the pollination and festivities for next year.
