Ryan BATCHELOR (Southern Metropolitan) (09:50): Over the last four years Labor has been busy delivering in the Southern Metropolitan Region. One of the things I am proudest of is the building of more homes for more Victorians that need them. We recently opened 285 new homes in Bluff Road in Hampton East, on top of 291 new homes in New Street, Brighton, as well as developments at Centre Road in Brighton East, Bangs Street in Prahran, Bills Street in Hawthorn and the Markham estate in Ashburton. We built the brand new Victorian Heart Hospital, upgraded the Sandringham, Moorabbin and Alfred hospitals and added 17,000 nurses and over 1000 doctors across the state. And there is a brand new ambulance station at East Bentleigh. There are new women’s health clinics in Prahran and Sandringham. The Metro Tunnel has transformed our network. The new Anzac station is spectacular. Commuters in Southern Metro have got more options to travel. Frankston line trains are back through the city loop. There are 155 new services on the Sandringham line as a result of the opening of the Metro Tunnel. The level crossings in Glen Huntly are gone. There is a brand new and award-winning train station, tunnelling is underway on the Suburban Rail Loop and community facilities are being upgraded at Sir William Fry Reserve. We lead the nation in NAPLAN. We have upgraded schools, including Moorabbin Primary, Sandringham East Primary, Hampton East School and Glen Eira College. We have got new sports facilities at Sandringham College, Caulfield South and Hampton. St Kilda primary schools are getting new gyms. Gardenvale Primary is getting new classrooms. There is so much going on that I am running out of time. It is great.
