Constituency questions

Western Victoria Region

Sarah MANSFIELD

Western Victoria Region

Sarah MANSFIELD (Western Victoria) (12:43): (2502) My question is for the Minister for Mental Health. The recently commenced trial of GP ADHD assessment and prescribing allowed for 150 training places for GPs. GPs in the Geelong region have reached out to me, because despite being the second-largest city in Victoria and having significant local need for and access barriers to ADHD care, very few GPs have been selected to participate. Some of the GPs who applied are already actually providing training to other GPs to do this work, yet they were not included in the trial. Can the minister please provide data on how many GPs in the Greater Geelong region were selected to take part in the ADHD trial and outline how any under-representation could be addressed?
