 Sonja TERPSTRA (North-Eastern Metropolitan) (23:50): (2665) My adjournment matter this evening is for the Minister for Public Transport in the other place. Victorians look to Labor governments to help ease cost-of-living pressures, with initiatives such as half-price public transport and slashing fuel prices at the petrol pump. Our public transport system benefits Victorians by offering cheaper and faster ways to commute to work. Of particular importance to my constituents in the North-Eastern Metropolitan Region is the increased frequency of train services on the Belgrave–Lilydale line, which was the first train line in Melbourne to become level crossing free. The action I seek is for the minister to update me on the benefits commuters in my region will experience as a result of the increased services on the Belgrave–Lilydale line.
