 Ryan BATCHELOR (Southern Metropolitan) (14:02): (2470) My constituency question today is to the Minister for Health: how has the Labor government’s record investment in health care benefited the residents of the Southern Metropolitan Region? Labor has delivered upgrades right across the state –

Ryan BATCHELOR: Labor has delivered upgrades to our health system right across the state, but particularly in Southern Metro. We have got the new Victorian Heart Hospital, a great new addition to our health infrastructure; the upgrades to the Sandringham Hospital outpatient clinics; upgrades to Moorabbin Hospital; and upgrades at the Alfred. The public health workforce has grown by more than 40,000 additional nurses, midwives, doctors and hospital staff; more than 17,000 nurses and more than 1000 doctors. Labor is investing in health care right across Victoria.
