 David DAVIS (Southern Metropolitan) (13:46): (1402) My question is again to the Minister for Energy and Resources. Will the minister tell the chamber on what day this month the offshore wind auction will commence, what day it will close and what financial support will be incorporated as part of the auction?

 Jaclyn SYMES (Northern Victoria – Minister for Energy and Resources, Minister for Environment, Minister for Climate Action, Minister for the State Electricity Commission) (13:47): Here in Victoria, we are proudly Australia’s offshore wind leader. The auction will go ahead this month as planned, and I will have more to say –

Jaclyn SYMES: The auction will go ahead in August as planned. I will have more to say in due course.

David Davis: On a point of order, President, it is a very specific question about what date it will start, what date it will end and what financial support will be put there. The minister has not answered any of those three.

David Davis: No, she has not.

The PRESIDENT: She was relevant to the question, and –

David Davis: Nothing about the end date, nothing about the financial –

The PRESIDENT: You have asked multiple questions too, but she was relevant to the question.

 David DAVIS (Southern Metropolitan) (13:48): President, that was a pathetic answer. Minister, if the auction proceeds, will it apply to all areas designated by the Commonwealth government?
