 Sonja TERPSTRA (North-Eastern Metropolitan) (14:42): It was my pleasure last week to drop by the CA Tritons swimming club down at Bulleen and talk to Charisse, who was a recipient of a sporting club grant. This grant helped Charisse and her family with the cost of travel as she participated in the 2026 Australian Age Swimming Championships, which were held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in Queensland in April of this year. As a swimmer myself I know how the cost of participating in sports can quickly mount up. This grant helped with one aspect of participation that is really never covered, and that is travel. Best of luck to Charisse in her swimming journey. I know you will do well. You show such dedication and commitment to your sport. I want to thank Carmen and Charisse for finding the time to meet with me in their busy swimming schedule, and I wish her all the very best for her future swimming journey.
