 Nick McGOWAN (North-Eastern Metropolitan) (14:15): (2482) My question is for the Minister for Disability, and I am pleased that the minister is in the chamber in fact. Minister, I have been approached by a local constituent in respect to play-based therapies. This constituent of mine, who is a local mum but is also a professional in this space – and I will provide you, obviously offline, with her details – is very passionate about having play therapy included in the NDIS evidence advisory committee work plan. Can the minister or committee go and look at this as part of a plan that can be sponsored? Currently there is an issue around that with some of the reforms that are occurring federally. Certainly I would like to bring this to your attention and encourage you to take a close look at it. Obviously we know that inclusion in play therapy plays a fundamental role in the lives of some of our littlest constituents, and I would appreciate your time and consideration of that.
