 David DAVIS (Southern Metropolitan) (14:05): (2473) I want to draw the house’s attention to the Moorabbin planning zone, a high-density high-rise zone. I want to ask the Minister for Planning to step down while the matters surrounding that are dealt with. I want to explain here to the community what occurred. The minister, in drawing the boundaries of the Moorabbin high-density high-rise zone, corruptly drew the boundary away from her own home, her rental home in Hampton. This is absolutely shocking. It is deeply corrupt that a planning minister would be drawing lines right near their own home and drawing the lines to favour their home. This is corruption, pure and simple.

The PRESIDENT: Mr Davis –

David DAVIS: Somebody can object if they want to.

The PRESIDENT: No, Mr Davis. I think you know where I am going. Why don’t you ask a question to the minister?

David DAVIS: I ask the minister to stand down whilst her corrupt behaviour is investigated independently.

Members interjecting.

The PRESIDENT: I will review whether that action can be asked.

David DAVIS: I just want her to stand down. That is an action for her: ‘Will you stand down?’
