 Trung LUU (Western Metropolitan) (14:12): (2479) My constituency question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. A resident has raised ongoing safety concerns at the Leakes Road and Western Freeway interchange in Rockbank. VicRoads data shows that there have been 23 collisions on the Rockbank section of Leakes Road since the beginning of 2024 where emergency services have attended. Can the minister please update my constituents on what has been done to address this dangerous, hazardous interchange? Traffic volume has doubled, with up to 14,500 vehicles using Leakes Road each day and a significantly higher number projected in coming years. Over 1800 people have signed petitions calling for traffic lights at the intersection. Commuting numbers are a rising concern. I await the minister’s comment.
