 Dr CUMMING (Western Metropolitan) (11:33): (1372) My constituency question is to the Premier. When will the lockdowns and restrictions end? I am asked this every day, and my constituents deserve an answer. This particular constituent stated that she understands why COVID lockdowns and restrictions have been needed at times but not at all times. She believes that we must open up the country once everyone who wishes to be has been vaccinated without coercion. She feels that ongoing restrictions have caused immeasurable extra harm to lives, livelihoods and democracy, and she believes that this is astonishingly costly. She believes that we need to go back to normal life, knowing that we are always going to have COVID cases around us. She wants to know when lockdowns and restrictions will end. My constituent feels that these lockdowns will not end until December.
