 Wayne FARNHAM (Narracan) (14:35): (1638) My constituency question is for the Minister for Emergency Services, and my community want an update on where the promised new CFA tanker is for the Erica and district fire brigade. A year ago this week the Treasurer announced funding for a new tanker for this brigade, and since then they have had no update about when it will arrive or if it has even been ordered. Their current tanker was made in 1995. It is over 30 years old. This is a critical piece of equipment. Not only is it for fighting fires, it is potentially, in a worst case scenario, a place of last refuge if this brigade is caught on the fireground and needs to be protected. I just heard the minister talk about her significant investment into appliances being delivered, and she stated there is one every four days. Well, maybe this brigade can get theirs in the next four days.
