Melissa HORNE (Williamstown – Minister for Ports and Freight, Minister for Health Infrastructure, Minister for Prevention of Family Violence) (09:59): Firstly, I want to congratulate Terry Awad on her first gallery exhibition at the South Kingsville Community Centre last month. At the age of 75 Terry had her first painting exhibition. She is an emerging artist, and her work is an inspiration to all. Also at the start of this month I held a women’s health forum at the Louis Joel Arts and Community centre. Thanks very much to the member for Northcote Kat Theophanous, the Parliamentary Secretary for Women’s Health, who opened the forum and shared such insight into Victoria’s inquiry into women’s pain, which last year taught us that the health challenges women face are unique and more work needs to be done. It was really interesting listening to key women community leaders talk about the industry and their experiences. I am also pleased to have secured $85,000 in the budget for Downer Oval in Williamstown to go towards new lighting for the Williamstown Cricket Club.
