Ms Lauren Kathage

Lauren Kathage

Meet Lauren

Prior to entering Parliament, Lauren spent more than twenty years volunteering and working with communities in Australia and abroad, leading remote housing and homelessness projects right through to managing multi-million dollar nationwide programs that trained healthcare workers, improved income generation opportunities for regional communities and increased the number of kids with disabilities that attended school.

The opportunity to have a bigger impact, making real improvements to people’s lives, prompted her to run for Parliament.

The main passions and priorities Lauren has as a member of Parliament are to ensure that development is community-centred, that families have what they need to build a good life - including local jobs and good transport, and that people with disability have every opportunity.
